Tripleclamp Moto has designed HDPE clutch and stator covers to protect your bike from the elements of adventure (and crashing). As a cost-effective solution to avoiding mishaps on the trail or road, or to refresh scraped and worn engine side covers, these bolt right over your OEM engine side cases. There's nothing other than the OEM bolts to remove and no oil spills.
We also make a cover for the T7's exposed water pump.
HDPE (high density polyethylene) is the ideal material for these bolt-ons as it provides impact AND abrasion resistance. It protects against sharp and blunt impacts, while dispersing impact energy to help avoid damaging cast aluminum clutch and stator covers and the fragile water pump.
Don't confuse these with more expensive but inferior ABS plastic covers. Ours are thick and include stainless steel bolt inserts and the correct length bolts to ensure a good fit and tight seal, with no loose covers or oil drips down the line. Our competitors don't use these stainless steel inserts, instead requiring you to torque bolts right into plastic. This is a recipe for disaster, as it's impossible to achieve the correct bolt torque.
