Conventional high-performance shock absorber of the latest generation, designed as an upgrade or replacement for the standard suspension. Developed for the high demands of discerning adventure riders who frequently ride off-road, and touring riders who regularly travel with heavy loads, as well as riders who desire additional safety reserves. With PDS bottom-out protection system and electric spring preload EPA. Including a coded plug to suppress the ESA warning message in the display.

• Our shock absorbers are specifically developed for the respective vehicle and intended use and offer high performance with impressive reserves
• The balanced, sensitive damping behaviour of our suspension components ensures neutral, predictable handling and supports confidence in the motorcycle, thereby enhancing personal riding enjoyment
• The shock absorbers stand out thanks to their excellent, transparent feedback; they optimise tyre contact with the road surface, wheel guidance and directional stability and reduce tyre wear
• Individual damping adjustment: the high-quality shock absorber features high- and low-speed compression adjustment, meaning that compression damping can be adjusted depending on the speed of the compression process (or the speed at which the damping piston moves during the process)
• The rebound damping adjustment with 18 clicks allows individual fine-tuning of the damping using the suspension tool
• The shock absorber is equipped with a so-called PDS system, which reduces the risk of bottoming out and the associated stress caused by hard impacts under demanding use
• The PDS system, together with the extensive options for individual rebound and compression adjustment, meets the highest demands of adventure and touring riders. It noticeably increases comfort and safety and can help reduce stress on the frame
• To achieve optimal, sensitive response behaviour,
• the oil channels are generously dimensioned to minimise oil flow resistance
• we use large-diameter pistons (46 mm)
• as well as low-friction seals and special shim stacks
• These closed shock absorbers feature an external, forged aluminium reservoir that supports the system’s thermal stability and performance through optimal heat dissipation
• The generous oil volume and large cooling surface ensure
• a low, optimal operating temperature of the oil,
• which not only results in stable top-level performance,
• but also in a longer service life of the damper and the oil

• Spring characteristics and preload
• Electric spring preload: the shock absorber is equipped with a sealed, extremely robust stepper motor drive for adjusting spring preload. Unlike many original electronic shock absorbers, the stepper motor is optimally protected inside the damper against the ingress of water or dirt. The robust preload adjustment mechanism withstands the harshest conditions
• The generous adjustment range compensates for a wide variety of load conditions

• We individually select the spring rate based on your personal riding profile specifications: after selecting your shock absorber, you simply define your personal specifications during the ordering process – they form the basis for selecting the spring that best suits you

• Each shock absorber can be fully and professionally serviced at the Wunderlich Suspension Centre
• The suspension tool is included in the scope of delivery

Compatibility note

For all Euro 5 models, the original shock absorber splash guard cannot be reused in combination with the Wunderlich Suspension by TracTive shock absorber. Please therefore order the shock absorber splash guard set from your BMW dealer (Original BMW part no. 33548532478).
